New survey about digital privacy

According to a survey realised by and students of Swiss ZHaW school, 70 percent of the participants feel affected by privacy abuse.

As part of their term paper, a group of International Managment students from Zurich based ZHaW recently revealed some interesting new privacy facts with their survey: Almost three quarters of the participants think their privacy is being abused by the use of cookies or social media platforms collecting their user data. Furthermore they feel affected by illegal acts like phising or webcam spying.

RFID-skimming? What's that?

Most of the participants choose to protect their digital privacy because they fear financial theft (81 percent) or identity theft (63 percent). Whereas RFID skimming is still unfamiliar to most (about 75%). will use the these research results to develop smart new privacy protection products – and to raise the awareness for digital privacy issues.
